About
About Cornerstone Pages
Stories from the small businesses building something in their town.
What we do
Cornerstone Pages writes about independent local businesses: the owners, what they’re working on, and why the people who live nearby should know about them.
Who’s behind it
Cornerstone Pages is published by Chatham Web Design, a web design team. Some businesses we feature are our web clients. Others, including many of the churches and nonprofits we cover, we write about simply because their work is worth knowing about. When we built a business’s website, the story says so and shows what changed. When we didn’t, the story doesn’t claim otherwise.
Editorial standards
- Stories come from interviews, owners’ own answers, what a business or organization publishes itself, and published local news, which we name in the story.
- Some short news items are drafted with the help of software and always checked by an editor before they run.
- We don’t publish quotes, numbers or claims we can’t trace to the business itself or a published source.
- Businesses can review stories for accuracy before they go live.
Sponsored stories
Some businesses pay for regular coverage. Those stories carry a “Sponsored” label at the top, and their links are marked as sponsored for search engines.
